We made it to Thursday, the weekend is close. So close!
I’ve finally dug myself out of my financial hole from August and September and I’m pretty excited about it. I’m also expecting something else to break or cost a lot of money because that’s what adulthood is like.
Anybody got fun weekend plans?
I’m going to some kind of experimental theater deal put on by friends. I’m not sure what it involves, so I’ll just show up and see.

5 hour drive at 5am to go spend weekend w/ my youngest. Long drive but she is so excited & I made her a bunch of food for her freezer. She got a pretty good unexpected math scholarship today. I’m so proud of her & can’t wait to give her a big hug.

It’s pretty scary when they turn out smarter than their parents.
She outsmarted me by middle school if not earlier. Both my daughters are so much smarter & more motivated than I ever was. One of the good things about marrying up in the gene pool.
Both my kids have surpassedme in different ways. I’m proud of them, but dammit they should have more respect!

Congrats. I dug out of the credit card hole this week too. It was the one I made paying for my parents stuff/fees which I was fine with.
Had to deal with their other bank today. Have to deal with more paperwork next week.
Work is getting dumber but it doesn’t phase me as much because I know my future isn’t there. My sympathies lie with my coworkers not panicking management.
I am looking forward to a three day long weekend (Canadian Thanksgiving), a short 2 day week then a five day weekend going to Homecoming (30 years since I was supposed to graduate.) I didn’t have any plans at the beginning of the year but then my university friends said let’s go… So here I am.
I’m showing myself up as a dummy American but what do people do on Canadian Thanksgiving?
Same thing. Watch sports, create unnecessary family tension, eat turkey, yell at family, eat and drink to oblivion. Give thanks you only do this once a year. At least that’s how it worked in my family.
I hated it from my teens to late 20s till my relationship with my parents began to improve. I miss it now.
I thought I was done with mowing this year, but all the water in the ground from the little bit of Helene that caught is has made it grow like crazy. There are 24 tomatoes on our little plant and it might frost tonight so we put pajamas on them (not kidding).
It’s going to be a busy weekend.

just had all my time off for the remainder of the year cancelled as work suspended my coworker…
what for…fuck knows…i mean…the dudes been working on it for a while and had a list of marks against him that could be called a book….but yesterday he was just grumpy
means theres 2 of us running the department now tho
