Almost the Weekend! [NOT 26/01/23]

Hi, friends!

I hope your week is winding down and has been a good one.

I am hoping we will get a warmer weekend so I could start doing some spring yard work, but so far looks like the temps will be great on Saturday but lots of rain.

We’ve got rain, cold & dreary on tap.  I got to take a friend I haven’t seen for years out to lunch.  He has MS & is almost blind & is now walking with a walker.  Really sad.  He was always a great athlete, played vball, kayaked, & snowshoed with me.  His wife left him when his health went south but he is super positive & even still friends with her.  I would hold a grudge but not him.  Definitely gave me some perspective on how lucky I am and what an inspiration he is.

  2. Fox News update — just got back from walking out dog, and we saw one in our alley. Unlike other recent sightings, this one had no interest in a stare off and took off skittering around the corner.

  3. Sore after shoveling and working.

    Looking forward to working a quiet weekend of overtime without management all over us like flies.

    Just let me do my goddamned job. I don’t need to be micromanaged, supervised and directed by microbrained/unskilled amateurs and morons.

    Can I say, I really hate day shift at this place (for the umpteenth time.)

    • Some days I actually miss being around co-workers.

      Then I see a post like this and think how goddamn lucky I am that I just do what I want at my own pace and my boss checks in once a week.

  4. In my haste to move my new car into a more bumper friendly parking spot, I can opened my mag on a curb 😭

    On the bright side, I’m not going to be  obsessed with keeping the car pristine anymore.
