A day off (if you’re lucky) in the middle of the week, to spend however you like (if you’re blessed) now that the shopping is done; the gifts are wrapped; the stockings stuffed; and it’s all over, save for the cooking, eating, and clean-up.
It’s that time of year when we connect, however we’re able, with family (in whatever form you define it). But the day can be even more challenging when the kids (if you have them) have been up since right after your head hit the pillow; there’s still an hour before dessert; and, you cannot figure out where the kids keep getting those candy canes. Now may be a good time to take a deep breath, count to 10 (or 100), and remember the why of it all.
Holidays are exhausting. I’ve cleaned my kitchen up three times today and it’s only 2pm! Does anyone even like candy canes? Still – Merry Christmas bellaluna!
