Hi, friends! I saw some comments in the DOT about autobiography titles and I decided to run with it for the NOT.
If you were to write an autobiography, what you call it? Or if you are too modest to write your own and someone else wrote one about you, what would be a good title? Anything specific you would want them to include?
For me, the title would need to be something like “Why Would You Think That Was A Good Idea” and the college years should be titled “I Thought I Was Way Cooler Than I Actually Was” and grad school years need to be titled “Why The Fuck Did I Choose This.” Late 30s should be something like “Home Ownership: a Fucking Racket.”
“Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time”
“Temper, Temper, Dumbass”
If I wanted to be over dramatic (something my sisters have accused me of…)
“Bully Hunter”

Lean In 2 Basic: Finding Contentment in Being a Basic Bitch
A 180° spin from Sheryl Sandberg’s seminal book.
I’m thinking either “That’s Entertainment” or…
maybe “The Naked and the Dead”
I’d steal the quote from one of my preschoolers;
What the Faaaaaahhhhhck?!?
Because that’s the question going through my head, a good 90+% of the time, annnnnd after he was in my classroom, I now *say* it in that same, extended, incredulous way!😆😂🤣💖
So, There Was All That, Then.
Dogs Are Better People. Or, Don’t Look Back.
If my teachers wrote the title, “He had so much potential but…”
Good one! That could be mine too.
LOL mine could also be Yet Another Gifted Kid that Underwhelms in Adulthood
@loveshaq do you have any recommendations for family friendly destinations that are less than a 3hr drive from Seattle? We’re looking into renting a small house or apartment in Seabrook but it’s a bit far. Cle Elum and Leavenworth are out of our price range. Ideally there’s a sandy beach nearby and maybe even a public pool.
Cannon Beach is amazing but hotels are pricey. That was my families favorite for many years. Birch Bay is really cool for camping, cabins or even rooms not that expensive. The little water park is cheap & fun…

Camp Casey on Whidbey is cool for a couple days & Port Townsend is also fun. We got a cabin on Crescent Lake which is amazing but you may be late in the game to make that happen….

Good luck!
Thanks so much!
Baker Lake is super pretty too but pretty remote, great for digital detox!
I may not be much but I’m all I think about.
I’m very late to this but mine would be:
Matthew R. Crawley: A Life in 17 Volumes. Each volume would be approximately 700 pages long, including notes, footnotes, and bibliographies, and the special online edition would contain thousands of hyperlinks for further elucidation.
