  2. I safely emerged from a couple of different national parks last week by following a complex array of rules:

    1. Don’t walk up to the edge of anything that’s high.

    2. Don’t fuck with elk.

     

    • The few times I’ve seen elk, it seems like they travel in much bigger gangs, er, herds than deer, which I’d think makes it more likely they’d get together to kick your butt if you messed with one.

    • I just don’t try to pet any wildlife, because the wildlife doesn’t deserve harassment by me or other people. Despite definitely being the kind of moron who thinks a bear would be a great hugger.

    • Loose Cannon can’t save him. No matter what stupid games she plays, Jack Smith has got her pinned down with the Jan 6 investigation in DC Federal Court going ahead.

      Instead of letting Trump use her court as the opening salvo to save himself, she allowed Jack Smith to do an end run around her which has backfired on Trump.

      • Watching all of these different jurisdictions slowly close their jaws around Trump is fascinating.

        The problem is, there’s so many lines of attack it’s going to reinforce the MAGA narrative that this is “politically motivated.” The dude is completely surrounded and sinking fast. If he wasn’t despicable, I’d almost feel sorry for him. But he is despicable, so fuck him.

        • The multiple jurisdictions and multiple felonies reinforce the non-MAGA view that the Trumps are a criminal family and were criming big time at the expense of the US and that the moron MAGAts/spineless GOPers are the enablers who let it happen because they’re weak, stupid and/or easily duped by a con man.

          The sad, hilarious thing to me is that I’ve read/seen my share of “The PReznit is a Traitor!” thrillers and they usually make the Dem the “traitor.” Now, in real life it is the GOP and their moron alleged “patriot” crowd that enabled an actual criminal/traitor to gain the highest office in the land.

        • He also has the Ruby Freeman (election worker) and E. Jean Carroll followup civil trials, and there are hints that Smith has another grand jury investigation of Trump’s PAC going on.

          The GOP has had too much success getting the press to But Her Emails 2.0 with Hunter Biden, but it’s harder to manage when actual trials are going on, as opposed to easier to ignore Trump scandals in 2016.

  4. As for Jose, he was the Toronto Blue Jays for the 2010s.

    All it took was a slight tweak in his swing and the next thing you know he hit 54 Hrs in his breakout season.

    His Game 5 7th inning Hr against Texas won the series for a team that was in the Playoffs for the first time in 22 years combined with THE BAT FLIP of the era to the dismay of Texas fans who would rather pretend that Roughned Odor’s knockout of him in 2016 was some epic baseball moment.

    It might have held true if the sore losers from Texas didn’t get their teeth kicked in again playoff time in Toronto for the 2nd year in a row (I was there at the clinching game.)

    Sucks if you’re a Pittsburgh Pirates fan though.
