Hi, friends!

I hope your Labor Day went well if you are in an area that celebrates it.

  1. I need to learn to say no!  Yesterday I dug out a plant in my backyard so they could replace my sewer pipe and my shoulders and arms hurt.  Today I dug for about 4 hours to make a parking place for a friend & had to move a pallet of pavers.  We still have at least another day to finish that project if all goes well.  My whole body hurts & I’m going to crash early!

  2. The thing about farm life is that there are no holidays.  There are many days when the work is light, but there is always a thing to do.  This is probably why they had big families.  Our farm “family” is one of choice, but it’s family nonetheless.

    • Mrs Butcher, who grew up in Manhattan, wanted goats so she could make cheese. I, who grew up on a farm, knew what the reality was. She wouldn’t listen to me so I brought her to a goat farm where the owners gave her the ugly truth.

  3. it was a monday amongst mondays for me

the combination of no ac at work + 90f +hangover + missed breakfast and didnt pack a lunch…is not great

i also forgot to take my pinpass to work…so emergency shitty sammiches werent an option…

granted…im not sure they would have improved my day anyways

so yeah…..basically….it was monday…but warmer than usual
