    • Good plan. There’s a standing thread on Quora which is something like “What’s the worst case of ‘picked a fight with the wrong person’ you’ve ever seen?” It’s full of examples of people who fucked around and found out, typically painfully.

    • Before MMA was a thing, my small white friend was a bouncer with a bunch of just over 5′ Brazilian dudes at a club in Waikiki.  This was very odd as most bouncers in Hawaii are huge Hawaiians or Samoans as both cultures like to fight when they drink.  What nobody knew is that the Brazilians were Gracie brothers, pretty much the original Brazilian jiu-jitsu family.  The place became a fight club as all the large Samoans would get the shit kicked out of them by these small Brazilians and bring more and more family members to try to kill them.  They finally shut down the club.

      Now? Not obese, but I am fat. However I also have pretty broad shoulders and barrel chested not something covered in the BMI. According to the BMI specs, I have the torso of a 6’4″ man in the body of a 5’7″ ish male. As if some cruel sadist melted the body of Darth Vader onto the legs of a Yoda action figure.

      What I’m trying to say is that docs can be too damn rigid on certain things for their own good and not everyone fits that BMI mold.

        In news content management systems, the URL is often set up by the draft headline, and doesn’t reflect what happens when editors decide to play around withthe message they want to send.

        Since this is their lead article right now, odds are top editors like Joe Kahn and/or Carolyn Ryan weighed in to soften it. It could be worse, but there’s no value to ducking the obvious cognitive decline issue in the headline.
