Bragging Rights [NOT 11/12/23]

Hi, friends!

Happy Monday! I hope your day went well.

Today at work I had 2 separate bosses mention that they noticed I’d been really killing it lately. That felt nice. Neither are my direct boss, but still always good to know the team overall thinks favorably of me.

So, dear internet friends, brag about yourselves tonight. What’s been going well that you are proud of?

  1. Dealing with my parents dementia without as one might say “losing the bubble” as well as protecting my work flank from my idiot manager/supervisor (for taking days off or coming in late due to dealing with their issues) and getting the temporary work place accommodation. I did make some mistakes due to my mind being focused on other things, but nothing that knocked me off my stride.

Meanwhile I try not to sneer too much at (hopefully soon to be former) management for losing their shit because they lost the bubble (and sight of their responsibilities) and who collectively really fucked up last week.

Also happy I finally got my hair cut (well, buzzed off) after 6 months so I stopped looking a bit like Al Bundy without a haircut.

    Or Mr Wint.

Sorry, but longish side hair just looks dumb on me.

  2. I covered for my wife today for a while dogsitting for a neighbor’s three legged puppy. The little guy was extremely cute and endearing however, so I can’t say it was a huge burden.

He lost his hind leg in some kind of shelter mishap but seems to be getting along without it very well.
