There’s a saying that when a house has good bones, it means that the foundation, walls, brickwork, and other structural elements are solid, and the house is in good shape. But you might also think that if a house’s owners display skeletons out front for Halloween, that’s a sign that the house is also well cared-for, and therefore in good shape. Here are some examples from the neighborhoods where I walk.
You’ll see improvised displays with oddball skeletons seated on whatever might be on hand.

A couple of years ago Home Depot started a trend by selling giant skeletons, and you can see more of them around where I live.

Not just one but two houses have posed skeletons on top of bikes.

This house not only perches skeletons on their porch, they frequently change their costumes.

More porch skeletons, including this one in a tutu.

There are skeletons doing what lots of people do when they have no porches — just sitting out front on the sidewalk in chairs.

And here is one relaxing in a little birdbath.

And to close, people who have little front lawns may have skeletons emerging from little graveyards in their front yards.

In our scary present times, people seem to be throwing more effort into Halloween decorations, at least around here.
That skeleton on the racing bike reminds me of certain pro riders…
Boo!
Yikes!
That article explains the skinny frame, but now I want to know about the complete lack of color.
He’s Danish, and possibly part halibut.
LOL!
(I really need an emoji spitting out coffee)
We have some of the giant skeletons in my neighborhood. But I think I like the ones in different costumes more. 🙂
no skelingtons here….but after years of being the only house with pumpkins out this year i found another house with pumpkins out
O.o maybe halloween is finally catching on here
but more likely i found some new immigrants from an english speaking country
What happens if you secretly decorate other houses?
same thing that happens when you do anything secretly
nothing
unless you get caught
but tbh….if its just jack o lanterns…and you know…you stick to whatever path you have that leads to the front door….yeah…probably just some bemused people…and maybe a clean that shit up
stray from the path or worse go into the backyard…..some of the less easy going people might take that as trespassing…..things can get a lot less fun quite quickly if you try that
