What do you guys got going on this week? Any plans?

We are starting a very family-oriented summer with a trip to an out-of-state graduation ceremony, the first of two. And then a family reunion before the end of June. So I gotta get packing today.

  2. …this week I think has a rising gradient of more family & less anything else to speak of as it goes…at least through until we get back to monday & maybe for most of the week after until one of the bits goes back to a mostly different orbit…so…you know…looking forward to that the way you do when it’ll be lovely as long as nobody loses their sense of humor…but…probably gonna be chores…&…logistics…but…in a family style?

    …otherwise…before/during/after that part…just all the same stuff I always seem to be behind on whether or not it seems like I get to it, really…mustn’t grumble…it’s nothing a week asleep & the wealth of a modest nation couldn’t put right…but…on the upside I get to see at least some people I actually want to at least some of the time & sometimes there’s a dog or two…& they seem to like me…dunno why…bit like the kids & such…not objecting or anything but I’m not entirely sure I like me as much as some of them seem to so it’s sort of a bit of a headscratcher

    …still…at least I don’t have to be the emperor of anything…so I must be doing better than that marcus aurelius bloke…&…he seemed pretty smart

    …hmm…starting to see why douglas adams thought the dolphins might be smarter than us…I dunno though…some of those documentaries make them out to be a bunch of aquatic gang bangers in several senses

    …there surely must be some middle ground between the idylls of underwater life & the monkey-stay-in-tree thing…like the middle of the venn diagram of things we have in common…&…sigh…why does aristotle get to say it’s *his* golden mean, anyway…seems like somebody got a mite previous, there

  3. I’ve got a road trip to Chicago coming up next week, and I’ve got tons to do around here before I go. 150 acres of pasture to mow, 4 classes to teach and gotta get the oil changed in the truck. The Jiffy Lube is closed for a mangement change, so I’m gonna chance it on a little local shop.

  4. I’ve got lots of home projects, need to brew a batch of beer for my daughter’s graduation party (for her Masters!), and if it stays this sunny lots of watering the new plants. I think I am building a deck & finishing a siding job but haven’t heard back on those yet. Also have a meet up to get my car a software update. My EV company went belly up so the owners came together (luckily many software engineers) and are doing the updates themselves.

  5. i have a 3 day work week and then 5 days off…and so far…absolutely no plans for that time off…other than puttering around my garden…if the weather co operates

    so yeah…plenty time to be lazy here this week…im okay with that

    • having the time to do nothing…is a luxury that should never be taken for granted
      i dunno if thats an old saying or some shit… but its true

      theres always shit you can fill your time with,,,oh i have time off..lets go do?

      howzabout… no? lets just kick back?
      lets not do anything coz we dont have to?

      i love doing stuff… but man… nothing days are the best
      no plans no needs no obligations….just..whatever
