Coffee Break [12/5/26]

Oh man, all the little things that need to be taken care of before we leave town for 5-ish days. What are the little things that have to be done that keep you from camping out on the couch?

      • …not saying that’s a skill issue or nothing…but…you know…that’s probably because I’m not the queen or whatever

‘I daresay you haven’t had much practice,’ said the Queen. ‘When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.'”

…maybe…it would help if I…got up later…but…then when do I pack?

  1. Just had my house re-piped and the drywall guy was backed up so he JUST started today. We’ve been living with gaping holes in the walls for almost 3 weeks. Plus having someone working in the house is incredibly distracting, though he’s MUCH quieter than the plumbers.

  2. I never put back the trim after finishing the floors, have a broken screen door that I need to address as it gets warmer & lots of little fixes. Ah, I can fix it later…

  3. Making sure the dishes and garbage are put away. I don’t like coming back to a house that smells like rotting food (which sadly happened during university and when I left Former Housemate to his devices.)

  4. just got to survive tomorrows chaos at work… on top of my regular workload..i gets to pull 57 machines from external storage… apparently they’ve gone out with a faulty main board…

now..i was under the impression we tested every machine before packaging… so im a little confused how we only figured that little problem out by the time we had 57 in storage… especially considering i only send the overflow to storage…we’ve shipped at least 3 times that straight to customers this month…
but yeah… tomorrows gonna be a fun one… my reward is a five day weekend tho… maybe a 6 day weekend if the additional day i tried to sneak in today gets granted..

    so you know….could be worse
