It can be a struggle to get through the second half of the day.
Are you taking a mid morning coffee break while working from home, or do you find yourself reaching for something stronger? If so, you aren’t alone. Use this map from alcohol.org to see the percentage of your fellow workers imbibing while on the clock.
How do feel about drinking on the job? I personally never liked the idea of ruining a perfectly good buzz with business. Even at home take care not to become your company’s Freddy Rumsen.
that map was fun! a wopping 50% of virginians.
I can’t believe Florida is only 22%, unless it’s because Floridians just aren’t working. Apologies to deadsplinter Floridians.
It’s because meth isn’t liquor.
(No apologies to Floridians – I have family there.)
Lol, very true!
Hawaii rules!!!!
67%! Does that square with what you know of the state?
Definitely sounds about right, most jobs come from tourism so not sure how they are working from home but if they are not in public view they are definitely drinking. Pa’u Hana literally means finished work but really means, time to drink and is built into the mentality.
If I’d been smart and stocked up on some Baileys I would def. be putting that in my coffee. Probably a good thing I did not.
We have a weekly Monday morning team meeting and we’ve been doing zoom. I was reprimanded this morning for not turning my video on. EFFF you. It’s 9AM you do not need to see my face.
Why should it matter? You’re on the call, ready to go. That’s bullshit.
Whoever reprimanded you is garbage.
And whoever scheduled an early Monday morning meeting is flaming garbage (unless that was you).
that’s stupid, and everyone having their cameras on just bogs down the connection.
If you need something to watch while you day drink or just need a break from the depressing news, my friends are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their movie by offering it for free online. It is a great documentary with incredible images. Check it out if you need an escape!

Thanks, I will. I know nothing about surf culture really, this looks interesting.
The main producer really needs to make another documentary about his life away from surfing. He has been on the crew of almost every big reality TV show since the Real World. He still does Survivor and was Trump’s personal cameraman for the Apprentice. Trump picked him because he was taller than Trump so was shooting down which made him look thinner. He has told me a few stories I can’t talk about but won’t really tell the good ones for fear of getting blackballed. Someday it will all come out though I hope!
Good thing for your friend that you know how to keep a secret.
These are #facts and it definitely was not me!
*has anger issues in foreign*
i dont actually know what language that is…..portugese?…..im getting a sepultura vibe…
The company I work for had been in the cloud since 2012. I purposely purchased a computer with no camera. Twice. Muhahaha.
Not all heroes wear capes.
