I got

You belong in “1984”!

You’re discreet, composed, and intelligent. Exactly the kind of person who could survive in Airstrip One!

      • My kid read all the books and watched the movies, and so did my wife, largely because as a librarian she tries to keep up with stuff. I couldn’t ever bring myself to care.

    • …I once accidentally upset someone by admitting I’d read them all but had known where things would go in books 2 & 3 before I finished the first…so at least some folks think they’re pretty predictable

…which would be why I never bothered with the films?

  1. “You’re talented, clever, and charismatic. Exactly the kind of person who could win the Easter Egg Hunt!”

I never saw Ready Player One either… and I’m only one of those 3 characteristics.

    • I read the book. It was mildly entertaining. I’m only one of my attributes too – discreet. I’d say I’m numb more than composed, lol. And as for intelligent, I’m not bad st faking it.

  2. You belong in “The Giver”!

You’re compassionate, reflective, and loving. Exactly the kind of person who could unlock their senses in the Community

Aw that’s sweet of them to think so.

  3. I got Air Bud. I definitely din’t want to live in a world where there are no rules against a Golden Retriever playing basketball and the legal system forces Bud to be returned to an abusive clown.

  4. You belong in “Ready Player One”!

Well, at least I’ve seen the movie. Mostly only because of Iron Giant, which is one of my favorite movies ever.

  5. i got ready player one

but im mostly impressed by having to answer almost every question by picking whatever option to eat or drink that i’d maybe consider…you know…if you put a gun to my head

  6. This one’s probably not even one of the options, but mine would probably be a little Cold War-era Hungarian novel called Metropole. It’s about a Hungarian polyglot who’s supposed to deliver a keynote presentation at a linguistics conference in Helsinki, but at the airport he somehow goes through the wrong door and gets on the wrong plane, and when the flight’s over he wakes up and gets placed – without his checked luggage – on a bus that stops a large hotel in a strange city where he gradually, and then repeatedly, realizes that everything is spoken and written in a language he can’t make out a word of – and no one can really understand him, either. You maybe could call it somewhat Kafkaesque because of the way he keeps failing to resolve this particular predicament, but the tone is rather more like, “Well, isn’t this just a pain in the ass!” (Plus, the guy manages to get laid by a married elevator operator at the hotel, and somehow I can’t really imagine something like that happening in any of Kafka’s body of work.)

Anyway, I’m on my way to a similar conference tomorrow, except mine’s in Miami, I’m not set to deliver any presentations and, presumably, there are enough logistics mechanisms in force to ensure that I get on the right plane.
