Nobody told me we needed a plan. Are we talking in general or about something imminent? If there’s anything I’ve learned from End Timers it’s to not sell all your possessions and move to the desert. So embarrassing when you have to ask for your job back and move in with family. I guess I’ll just wing it.

Do you have a plan, DeadSplinters?
No plans here. Let the big wheel roll.

I try to make sure to keep a big container of lube handy when the probing begins I prefer not to raw dog it.
Adding to my grocery list – giant jar of lube. ✍️
I had a few ideas starting with:
Then fighting back
But I’ll just stick to the old tried and true method of saying hi. We know how well that works out.
Just don’t call them a douchebag.

I was just reading about a company that sold insurance against alien attacks for something like $29.99. Except it turns out that the whole point of it was selling a framed certificate that people could give as gag gifts.
I’d say if the frame was nice enough and could be reused once the joke got stale, that’s not the worst way to spend $29.99.
For the paranoiac that has everything.
I mean, look, I love “Independence Day” and all, but an alien race with the ability to build and power functional starships would have technological capabilities way beyond us and if they wanted to, could wreck our planet/species within seconds if that’s their plan. So we’d basically have to hope they come in peace otherwise we might not even know they’re there until they hit a big red button and everything explodes.
Or they might be smart enough to see that we’re doing their work for them and let us continue on our self destructive course.
Nah, humanity has a way of pulling itself back from the brink and I suspect we’ll continue to muddle through for a while longer. Which they might see as dangerous!
Of all my worries, this is the one that concerns me the least. Nothing moves faster than light. If there was some sort of unmanned or generational ship headed toward us, we’d see it coming long before it got here. And, if I’m wrong, and somebody has figured out how to move faster than light, well, I agree with Black Rod. They could just wipe us out and there’s nothing we can do.
I hope we’ll have enough warning so I can pick up a bottle of my favorite rye and a rib eye for Fanny.
oh phew….is only aliens….for a minute there i thought you caught that shit going round on twatter…something about the wef killing 6 billion people next year…
sounds serious no?
anyways…im amazed these people can tie their own shoelaces and are at least semi literate
but yeah…nah…no plans for aliens how much worse than people can they be?
This right here is the correct answer! To tell with it. We’ve made a mess of things. Maybe they’ll do better.
You best believe I have a plan. Not that it’ll do me a damn bit of good.
Does it involve your farm being a safe refuge for DeadSplinters?
We will have a futon for you, but @farscythe is going in the barn.
does the barn have wifi?
You bet!
all good then 🙂
*snort*
If they’re friendly or at least not hostile, put this anthropology degree to good use and see if they want some experts helping them deal with humans.
If they’re hostile? Eh, I’ll just die.
I’m going to approach them the same way approach humans. As little as possible.
