It can be a struggle to get through the second half of the day.
It’s Monday after the Superbowl. You’re a little hungover, you ate too much junk food, your best work pal, who talked you into doing tequila shots, called off. And you just found out that prick in accounting won the office pool. How do you get through the Mondayest Monday of the year? Asking for a friend.
Well I was hungover (not just from alcohol, also life and being cold) and full of junk food yesterday so I’m feeling fresh as a daisy! I kind of forgot about the Super Bowl, and I’m in Saints country and I feel like no one here bothers with it if the Saints aren’t involved. I live about a block from a loud bar and I couldn’t hear any cheering or anything haha. However, I do wish I’d known someone having a party or something because I would have really loved to eat some football game junkfood while I had a hangover yesterday.
I was a little under the weather so I didn’t really indulge in drinking or overeating. I’m not much of a football fan but I did enjoy The Puppy Bowl!
I hope you’re back to 100% today.
Yep I am doing well today. I’ve had a super productive morning so far. Ate an early lunch and back at it. Tomorrow is my birthday and work and Trump can fuck the fuck off on it so I’m trying to get a bunch of organizational bullshit done today.
Well, it’s the 4th now, so, Happy Birthday.
I’ve always enjoyed Mondays. When I worked night audit in hotels Monday was my off day but even after I moved into a gig with ‘banker’s hours’ Monday was that day back in the office after running around doing chores and whatnot and almost feels like a day off.
I hear ya. I think I’m spending too much time on the weekend during chores and errands. I need to find a way to organize my time better. We all need to have fun too.
I basically subsist on lattes…and after 2PM at Dunkin they are only $2!
Today our controller was going through my expenses and asked me who “Jim Webinar” was. I was like…that was me, paying for Jim, to take a WEBINAR.
I’m a little scared you guys.
They couldn’t run the place without you Meg!
