  1. It’s so dry here. When I mowed yesterday, I got a face full of pollen and grass clippings so I’m staving off the sinus woes. Other than that, it’s pretty nice. Our garden is behind schedule, but so what? Stuff will still grow but be a little late.

    • …almost put the other comment here instead on the basis that I don’t think I even know what growing early or late means at this point

…just based on gardens belonging to people I know…much less on a crop-scale basis…things in the same flowerbed seem to believe they exist in pocket realities that disagree about the current season on a daily-to-weekly basis…it’s like being dorothy & the weather I grew up with is kansas?

  2. …if I knew more about the timing of what sort of pollen happens when then I might be inclined to blame the way today seems to be going on a change in the ambient leaderboard for what sort is the prevailing variety wherever the wind is coming from…rather than the default lack of sleep thing

…but there being generally more sunshine as the days get longer is always welcome when the sleep remains short however long the nights may be

…so on balance…I’m choosing to embrace the general trend for denying the reality staring me in the face…& deciding to call it a win

…why should I not get to cognitive-dissonance-maxx, too?

  3. The weather has been all over the board even more than usual here in upstate NY. It was cold this weekend; it’s nice today but it dropping back to unseasonably cold later this week for basically 7-8 straight days. We’re usually right around 70 this time of year and somehow we’ve had way more 50s and 80s days instead.

  4. We had bizarrely cool conditions here yesterday and today, with temps topping out in the low 80s. Kind of nice after several days of near-90 temps, but the heat will return soon enough.
