It’s hammer time! Wait. That’s not right. Or maybe it is. Whatever! It’s party time! Booyah!
It’s 90s night for our Friday night DUAN dance party. Early 90s, late 90s, anything in between. Pop, rap, folk, alt rock, anything that takes you back to gettin’ jiggy for that crazy nostalgic time.
You’re all right, you know that? Thanks for flashing back with us, Deadsplinter.
Peace out ✌️
The 90’s sucked, save for a handful of bands, like this one.
Bare Jr. – I Hate Myself
How about the most 90’s song released in 2021? It is by a band popular in the 90’s! The theme was true then and nothing has changed…
I could tell you stories.
@luigi-vuoto Please do!
okay, I’ll play the real game, one of my favorites from the early 90’s…
Freedom 90. Still good.
Sebadoh – License to Confuse
Still listen to a lot of this stuff, so it’s not a difficult search over here.

One of Green Day’s albums had artwork and text depicting the Ritual of the Trout dance.
They released 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours in 1991.
*epilepsy warning*
Power – SNAP!
Yes! And let’s not forget this hot hit:
“Save Tonight” would be an excellent misheard lyrics pick. For years I thought it was “Stay the Night.”
The decade started with this:
and ended with this:
Speaking of vogue…I’m sorry but we can’t have a 90’s night without En Vogue
I did my best to completely ignore the 90s. I later came to appreciate, even love, a few artists from that decade, but mostly, it all seemed pretty bleak if frothy. A lot of 90s music caused tooth decay. If I remember correctly, I spent the decade listening to a lot of electronica and avant garde jazz. Today, there are 90s records that will make me bounce in my car seat and bob my head against my better judgement.
Elastica – Stutter
Turbonegro – Get It On
of course you would be a fan of Turbonegro!
The lede image reminds me of SBTB.
So very ’90s:
Salt-N-Pepa, “Shoop”
Belle & Sebastian, “My Wandering Days Are Over”
Late 90’s but sooo 90’s!
Fatboy Slim- Praise You
I would not feel right not seeing any grunge in a ’90s post. My favorite: Alice in Chains – Again.
I will respectfully disagree wholeheartedly with BBTM, and say the 90’s were the BEST!😉🤣💖
Bon Jovi got back together;
GnR was at the peak of their game;
Metallica had The Black Album;
NIN broke out in a huge way;
Aerosmith sustained folks;
TLC was out there teaching us girls to have high standards;
Rap was in its Golden Age;
And even the Country artists were hitting hard;
And not to leave the local boy out, there was this😉;
