I don’t know. I thought the last one was pretty fun. Pete was his usual stick in the mud self and Peggy wouldn’t stop talking about me getting a Scientology Audit but overall P. J. Clarke’s is a good time. I’ve been so many times. You go there and you think, “This is one of the most famous bars in the world. Where are the tourists?” And this is a laid-back bar where the burgers and beer are more than reasonable. I once—the story’s not worth repeating, never mind.
These parties usually get pretty crazy, especially when you let us Irish drink…

I have a good story about this too but I’ll spare you. Actually, no I won’t. A really good Los Angeleno friend of mine got married and I can never remember when that was. But it was the weekend of a very drunken Mel Gibson’s “sugar tits” outburst, so it’s easily google-able. It was the only thing the local news covered. It was also a period of CA’s rolling blackouts so it was disgustingly hot but I grew up without a/c so I survived. It was really hot, though.

i want to thank everyone for their contributions which is something i’ve yet to do properly. that 2k goal, if reached, means i’d only be paying 20% of everything (despite being fully willing to pay 100%) for the next two years as of 29/10/24. by the time 29/10/26 rolls around, money won’t be an issue for me and i’ll happily cover the full cost myself… unless the oligarchs take over canada (aka the 51st state) and governor
