  1. When I was a kid, there was a local show that would come on Saturday afternoons called Shock Theater.  It was hosted by a guy all decked out like a dead man named Toulouse Noneck and the show played all those old B-movie horror films.  One of their promos for the show was the scene from Bride of Frankenstein where the monster was first introduced to his “bride”, and they played this song over it, which I still think is hilarious.

  2. When people used to visit here we’d take them to the track if it was the time of year we had live meets. Or any of the bourbon distilleries.

And one visitor just wanted to see the Two Keys bar where Raglan Givens lived in the Justified series, lol.

As for musicals, here’s one (respects to the late, great Rebecca Luker):

  4. Whenever anyone visited us growing up they wanted to see the Banzai Pipeline.  Problem is that it only has those giant waves you see on TV from Nov-Feb, rest of year it often has no waves.  Still a beautiful beach but much less dramatic!

  5. There was a venue five minutes from my house where I would go see shows. Because of Covid it shut down permanently. I hope something will eventually replace it but I’m not hopeful. Here are some highlights.

  6. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. And now I’m back, baby.
