Deadsplinter Up! All Night: Childhood Faves

What were your favorite songs when you were a little kid?

I can’t tell you why but I loved Bad Bad Leroy Brown as a kid. I knew all of the words even though I had no idea what it was about.

I called this the Jeremiah was a bullfrog song.

Thanks for your support!

  1. I loved everything Motown, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, I still do. But my most favorite were The Temptations. I love this song to this day, used to sing it to my daughter all the time when she was a child.

    My Girl

  2. This is the first non-children’s song that grabbed my attention, and it certainly did for than a few people some decades later as well. (I remember getting this 45 as a gift, but I can’t remember ever playing or listening to it, so it must’ve gotten lost or broken.)

  3. I still remember exactly where the jukebox used to sit, in my hometown bar, back when I was 2 or 3.

These were the songs I always used to ask Dad if I could have money to play, and Elvira was the song my cousins & I used to dance around to, at my Auntie & Uncle’s house😉

As I’ve mentioned before, apparently I’ve been into dirges & waltzes my whooooole life😉

And that brings up one I loved in my 20’s–which was also fitting–for obvious reasons!😄😂🤣
