Deadsplinter Up! All Night: Come Together

We are situated in a place and time that can easily be considered unprecedented. Unfortunately, this place and time is also one in which we are most divided politically and idealistically.

I, personally, am all for the GOP hate that many of us here on Deadsplinter like to post/comment about. I feel it is well-deserved; but I also feel that this is a time for us to put our ideals aside and acknowledge the fact that just because we have ideals, it does not make us right. It only makes us right to ourselves…subjectively.

For as right as some of us think we are, I also think it is important to listen to/reason with those who might not share our subjective ideals. If ever there was a time in our generation to have an open mind, we need to make that time right NOW.

For those of you who know who I am &/or what I’ve done, and for those who don’t, THIS has always been

I’ve tried to convey…and I am not a fan of

but,

if we could just GET OVER OURSELVES enough to

Thank you for your continued support of DUAN and Deadsplinter.

  1. eh…politics is the great divider… good people on both sides like….
but civil discussion on that topic is damn near impossible
(so i mostly avoid it with people i like… but saying drop it..im bigger than you has worked for me before :p)

(song picked just coz i wanted to hear it)

  2. Give peace a chance. I remember a similar time of discord, Kent State, civil rights, women’s rights, anti-war, tune in, turn on, drop out; the murders of Dr. King and the Kennedys, the rise of George Wallace. I run with a liberal and artsy crowd in a very conservative area. Somehow we all manage to coexist. I can’t wait to see what follows this time of aggression- in the 70s it was disco. Let’s all stay safe and stay alive.

  3. I’m a little under the weather. I think, hope, it’s just allergies. But I can’t get it together to search for a better song. So
