…I can roll with the…melodic aspects, let’s say, leaving something to be desired if the lyrics work for me…but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think the delivery on the gang starr number has room for improvement & in places the lyrics could have been tweaked…or the flow…to make it “better” as “a sound”?
…& there’s tunes with lyrics so bad it actually ruins them for me even when they sound like they should be good…if that makes sense…so I think you’re probably right
…but sometimes a thing sounds good enough I don’t pay undue attention to the words…so…there’s exceptions to prove that rule, too…I reckon?
