In 1975 The Ohio Players released their funky tune, “Love Rollercoaster”.
Before too long, listeners picked up on a woman screaming at 2:33. The scream took on a life of its own, and there were several theories floating around. One was that the scream was taken from a 911 call or a mental facility and dubbed into the song. Another was that the scream came from a band member’s girlfriend, who was being assaulted while the song was being recorded in his apartment. Yet another had to do with the model on the album cover. She had become disfigured when she peeled off the hot honey mixture that was poured on her, and she stormed into the recording studio with a gun, seeking revenge. In the end it was discovered that the scream was just an awkward shriek from the keyboard player. Mystery solved, but the whole story certainly didn’t hurt record sales!

En Attendant Ana – Do You Understand?
…if we’re doing debunking then I’m torn between these two…
Oooh, I love urban legends. There was a story that went about that Stevie Nicks used to have a roadie blow cocaine up her ass, lol. Seems like an awkward way to get yer buzz on but I’m not judging.
Fleetwood Mac – The Chain
There is also a story that Stevie snorted so much coke that she burned a hole in her nose. Although that one may actually be true, yours is certainly more intriguing!
War Lord – Rog & Pip
Sometimes real life is stranger than urban legend. After Fishbone’s guitarist Kendall Jones joined a cult, Angelo & Norwood got charged with kidnapping after a failed attempt to rescue him from the cult. If you have never seen the movie named after this song, it is definitely a great movie about one of the most underrated bands of all time
Didn’t know about the movie, but I love Fishbone!
