Ellie and I had the good fortune of a visit from @myopicprophet. In the guest room is where I keep my stereo and records. He is a responsible adult so there was no worries. He goes upstairs in the evening to the room to do something and proceeds to come downstairs and says “You need to come up right now”. I go upstairs and he tells me that the turntable isn’t working. I look at it and find that the lever is stuck between 33 rpm and 45 rpm. I move it to where it belongs and everything is fine. No harm no foul.
[Admin note: Keitel said I wouldn’t know how to turn it all on so when I went up, I turned on the receiver, saw it was set to phono2, turned the receiver around to find phono2 and followed the wires to one of the 48 record players, turned it on, put Handsome Boy record on, and moved it to 33 (but I promised I wouldn’t touch the record player so i turned it back off so it’d stop spinning), went down and said “come up here” to show him that I had it set up and it was ready to play. Apparently I didn’t move it all the way from 33 to the off position (At no time did I say there was something wrong LOL).]
[Author note: There is some revisionist history going on. We can debate that all night long but this though is on the record “turned the receiver around”.]
I also notice that Handsome Boy Modeling School is on the turntable.
The moral of the story is do not play this record because it will fuck up your stereo.
2 X Terrible Tuesday
Thanks for coming around.
Never something anyone wants to hear.

I’m trusting the Keitel original cut here, not the remix.
They Might Be Giants – Push Back the Hands
They Might Be Giants – Broke in Two
I FORGOT!
[Admin note: I turned the receiver back around (OCD CENTRED!) and no one noticed, hence, “no harm no foul”?]
My boy only breaks his favorite toys. There’s a Taylor Swift for any occasion!
