the movie kinda sucked…..but what a soundtrack
Dating myself but:
Shrek 2 has a fantastic soundtrack.
You know, I just love the Wall-E soundtrack. Especially how they incorporated themes from Hello Dolly into other parts of the movie.
So many, but I’ll pick one outta my hat:  Slade in Flames. Soundtrack by the band Slade.

…no prizes for guessing what I’d probably go for…although aside from the blues brothers there’s more than I’d have thought if I think about it…the jungle book…bugsy malone…early tarantino…could probably come up with a round dozen before I really had to think about it & even then I’d know I’d forgotten a few…if we get musicals then there’s hamilton…& the return to the forbidden planet…& the other one from the same bunch I saw that was a different play…so if the former was the tempest spliced with old school rock & roll & 50s sci-fi…the latter…from a jack to a king…was macbeth spliced with gumshoe noir & more rock & roll
…list gets longer the longer I think about it…but I came to drop off a different sort of soundtrack, as it happens
…promised @farscythe a playlist of the tunes I littered the DOT with on sunday since all the embeds apparently mess with his bandwidth…so…here’s that…only slightly later than I said I’d get it done…which isn’t so bad for a monday morning?
…it’s not just tunes, though…threw in the jonathan pie one (tory edition) which would be “track 3″…missed out the one from twitter where the timpson guy talks about prisons & holds up the dutch as an example to admire…#12 & #13 are AI & democracy, respectively as per the honest gov lot…#14 is a stand-up routine about being a woman in england with a scottish accent…the rest are all tunes…left out the queen taking tea & talking sandwiches with paddington on the grounds that a half-brit abroad either already saw that or knows what it is/was & doesn’t need to see it again depending on where they sit with the monarchy thing…either way…not trying to teach egg-sucking to anyone…so…that’s about how that plays out if you feel like you might like it & your browser might swallow it easier that way?
