I got myself a clearance-sale pair of Chelsea-style boots, the short ones that slip on. They’re synthetic leather, so I waterproofed them like crazy for their main purpose — to take the dogs out in the morning in wet grass, autumnal rain, and eventually snow. After 4 days of rain, they have been a pleasant surprise, and I have to ask myself (yet again): why didn’t I get something like these sooner?
