I’ve been listening to a lot of countertenors lately (yes, I love opera). Countertenors are the highest male range and are given the parts that were written for castrati back in the 17th century. It’s an amazing sound. One of the best is Jakub Józef Orliński.

Klaus Nomi was said to be a counter tenor, but it sounds more falsetto to me.
