Ok so I might have a small problem.

I’ve become obsessed with cheezy holiday movies.

The most recent one I watched is on Netflix and it’s called “LoveHard”. Our beleaguered heroine has been catfished on Tinder and shenanigans ensue.

Anyhow, my point is (god does she ever have a point?) that there’s a cute little song that got me in the mood for the holidays.

So, headed into Thanksgiving and Solstice and Christmas and Hanukah and Kwanzaa, what gets you in the mood for parties and wrapping and shopping and relaxing?

I had my COVID booster and a flu shot this morning, so I’m not particularly in a holiday mood at the moment.  I’ll probably come around at some point.  I would probably have just stayed on the couch and stayed clear of tonight’s DUAN, but I didn’t think that would be fair to you lot.

     

     

  2. I have a rule against Christmas music until after Thanksgiving & since we don’t have too many great Thanksgiving songs out there, I give you this one…

     

    • I’m the same way. It made the girls crazy that I refused to let them play Christmas music before Thanksgiving. So to that end I will likewise not post a song here tonight.

  4. I’m also not in the holiday spirit due to ongoing contractor woes. It turns out that I won’t be able to cook Thanksgiving dinner this year. All the food I bought is going to the Food Pantry and I spent the morning driving around cobbling together a reheatable meal. So I’m going to post a variation on @luigi-vuoto‘s theme.

  9. I haven’t liked Christmas since I went to college, when the stress of finals, shopping, and travel plans got kind of overwhelming.  Even having kids of my own didn’t really fix that.

    Anyway, Mrs. Lemmy likes Christmas music, so I usually buy her some fucked-up Christmas CD as a goof.  Sometimes she even likes it.  This one, she does not:
