Deadsplinter Up! All Night: How’s Your Roctober Goin’?

I think that if there’s any theme to today’s post, it’s something along the lines of “songs that get you rawking”. Since I associate the “Roctober” term primarily with classic rock, I’m going to start with a couple of dinosaurs that I not only will not ignore if I hear them during the course of the day, but — at least mentally — I also will be playing air guitar or drums.

Bring the rock with you this week, guys. We’re gonna need it.

  1. When I think Rocktober that think anthems. And when I think anthems I think Springsteen. And although I’ve never owned any of his LPs, and would never seek out his music, I do find myself turning it up and singing along when he comes on the radio.

  2. I completely forgot about Rocktober this year.  That would explain why I heard these two songs back to back on the local college station last week, when they would normally be playing weird indie band deep cuts and acoustic covers of Wet Leg songs sung in Portuguese or something.
