I love this song. I don’t know if anyone is keeping up with the GMG sites anymore. I don’t really visit them much which became a gradual change then I completely stopped. Jason Schreier and Heather Alexandra both recently left Kotaku and with it any other reason I had to visit the sites. It’s sad to see quality journalism get driven from the sites we once loved. Anyways, thank you for your continued support of DeadSplinter.

RIP Little Richard.
Roxy Music – Mother Of Pearl
It cannot be overstated how much of a watershed moment it was for rock and roll when Little Richard burst onto the scene. He was everything mainstream America hated; loud, flamboyant, sexy, and black. Popular music was never the same. Here he is in the early 70’s having just invented Prince’s style.
Very neat video.
Here is I’ll fight for your life, the drums.
Sounds a little like Blue Man Group.
Good song Boop. I like Mitski.
Sade – Pearls
oh man…thats a tune and a half
On the left is Jimi Hendrix, playing with Little Richard’s backing band and doing Jimi shit before he was even Jimi. One version has it that Jimi was eventually fired for upstaging Richard.
RIP Little Richard.

Rip It Up:
Damn, I posted before I watched the video in jonee’s post. So, here’s Little Richard performing ‘She’s Got It’ in ‘The Girl Can’t Help It (1956)’:
and the song alone:
the blondie actress is Jayne Mansfield:

and on today’s theme.
Guns N’ Roses – Civil War:
“What’s so civil ’bout war anyway?”
Pink Floyd – The Post War Dream
Super bummed to hear about Little Richard.
I don’t have any Little Richard but I just wanted to chime in with RIP and also say I thought he was already dead so what a nice surprise when he wasn’t and then another disappointment when he was.
That’s kind of hilarious.
