Also, I am quite proud, as irrelevant as it is, to be from where I am from.
A little bit of unsolicited history:
Peterborough not only celebrates First Nations in its deserving NATIONAL canoe museum, but also celebrates those who followed their path. For example, the portage of Samuel de Champlain in 1618. When I was 7-ish in the mid to late 80’s a new “mall” was built in Peterborough’s north end aptly dubbed “Portage Place.”
Peterborough has a very rich history in Canadian culture that often gets left in the lost memory bank on account of Montreal and Toronto.
It’s awesome you have fond memories of the Kawarthas. So beautiful that all the famous people have homes there to get away from places that suck in comparison…ie. EVERYWHERE else.
Your video was the best thing I’ve seen in a long time. LOVE the Jane Fonda Workout go-go/backup dancers. Matthew Wilder is still very busy in the music world, writing songs, producing famous acts…he did the songs for Disney’s “Mulan” and voiced the character of Ling, in his not copious spare time.

(I am proud to say that I invented the colour scheme for the soon-to-be-built new and improved Canadian Canoe Museum in my hometown)

You’re from Peterborough? I have fond memories of summers by the Kawartha Lakes.
Also you’re practically Canadian famous! That’s so cool that you are part of preserving the First Nations people’s history.
The cool thing is that I am actually more well recognised as an active advocate for Indigenous communities…
but I won’t get the accolades I deserve for my colours anywhere but here so feel free to pile on. lol

I get debilitating nausea from being on boats (randomly started in my late twenties). So I’ll just park my ass on the dock as you all row by.
I’m impressed!
Row Your Boat, Yelawolf
I was on a boat off the coast of France and did the “Rock the Boat” (but the group was English, not Irish):
Apparently people in Britain and Ireland used to (still?) do this at weddings the way “La Macarena” was once unavoidable in the US.

the songs in mulan are awesome
*adds mathew wilder to playlist*
For Mulan he wrote and co-produced the songs but didn’t sing them. He could’ve though, probably.
When “Break My Stride” came out I imagined he was a young Brit, the song sounds very Brit Pop, but no, turns out he’s a native New Yorker.
oh shit!
he bounces of walls too!
