DeadSplinter Up! All Night: J.T.

On Friday I was working at home and listening to my ‘release radar’ from Spotify.

This new track from Steve Earle was sandwiched in between some teeny boppers and stopped me in my tracks.

Sorry for dropping the saddest thing I’ve heard in a while on you. Here’s a pick me up:

Not sure where I’m going with this theme, but you guys always seem to manage somehow. I’ll take the pick-me-ups over the sad songs, but you do you.

Thanks for your continued support of DUAN and Deadsplinter!

  1. My mind is on vacation today.  Sorry.

I’m deep in the lap steel internet, since I’m trying to learn the instrument, and I’m finding a lot of unsung heroes.

    • Mighty fine stuff Luigi!!!  Love me some steel guitar!  I think I’ve previously mentioned I have worked with this guy that is one of the islands finest players these days, Greg Sardinha…

  2. I can’t begin to imagine the pain of losing a child.

Nick Cave wrote the songs on Skeleton Tree before his son’s death but reworked some of the lyrics. I don’t know which lines were changed or added but this song is devastating either way.
