  1. Kim Wilde. I love this video because it’s when the 80s were reaching a pop music crescendo. Kim’s hair, make-up, clothes, and dance moves–chefskissemoji. I was going to go with her breakout hit, “Kids in America” (she’s English, she was born in Chiswick, London, very nice, it’s near Kew) but we’ll save stuff like that for the post-January 20th era.

    • I’d heard for years what a seminal movie Easy Rider was, so several years ago I finally decided to watch it.  When it was over, I thought to myself, “well, there’s three hours of my life I’ll never get back.”  That’s when I noticed that the time code on the film said it was 1 1/2 hours.

      • I’ve never seen “Easy Rider” but I have seen “The Wild One,”, 1953, Marlon Brando. I didn’t get it and won’t watch it again. I’ve also seen “Cape Fear,” both the original and the remake, and again…why? What is so special about these movies?

I do like “hot-rodder” movies, the cheesier the better. In the original “The Blob,” starring a young Steve (billed as “Steven”) McQueen, he plays a bad boy in a hot rod and his hot-rodding buddies/rivals…well, no spoilers. I loved “Grease” (the original). Let’s just say I’m not going to be invited to join the New York Film Critics Circle anytime soon.

  2. …hoods on the right…wild for the night

…although to be fair when it came to the let your feet stomp thing…a bit of drum’n’bass has been known to work?
