…I try to resist the temptation of the DUAN on a school night…or…more accurately…the rabbit holes these posts beckon me down…but…if only to serve as an example…huh, aimee mann…haven’t listen to any of hers in a while…what would have been the first one?
…maybe
…whatever was somewhat unavoidable hanging out with some of the people I did…but…it can’t have been that…the solo album was ages after I first heard til tuesday
…& finally…we get to something I could have used for a pick
…& that’s just off the top of my head before I resort to internet-assisted tangents to memory lane…like…broken music for broken people…never was that into suede but had friends who couldn’t get enough…what was I more by way of listening to that something about that reminds me of…oh…right
…but…to do it properly…you kinda got to have the video
…&…next thing you know you’re listening to the whole album
…& remembering the time the chemical brothers were the support act at a gig where a mate of yours made it on stage & tried to keep up with someone who could do the thing with the feet in the no good video that a lot of people *thought* they could do…& how some people had the stamina…&/or pharmacological crutches…to follow the chemical brothers to another venue after the gig for more of the same in a smaller venue…because youth is legit a super-power
…&…back once again…with or without the renegade master…hard to tell these days…but…yup…apparently I’m…uhh…wossname?
