  2. I had a high school friend completely embarrassed when a boy who had a crush on her rounded up some of his buddies to help him surprise her in a Steak’n’Shake and sing “You’ve lost that loving feeling” to her.

    As you may logically conclude, this did not motivate her to want to date him or even see him ever again.
