@luigi-vuoto true story. My mother had an accordion. My father claimed she used it to attract beaus. It was heavy and took a ton of skill to play. She must have had it in the late 1940’s onward.
I have no idea of the context here, except I can say one of the great things about Old San Juan is being able to walk around and come across live street performances like this:
I saw this band in October. They were so cool, fun, and friendly. They came early and watched the opening acts, stayed for the bands that followed them. They mingled with the crowd, joked and danced with everyone, great bunch of guys. I wanted to post a newer clip but they are all full sets.
This is one of my favorite live performance videos:
As if Aretha Franklin wasn’t fabulous enough, of the five backup singers, the older one on the right next to the guitarist (who is totally into this) is Cissy Houston. She has no time for this white people “Rolling In The Deep” bullshit, but she becomes less muppet-like once Aretha segues into “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” And then there’s the middle backup singer guy who has more enthusiasm than my Faithful Hound did when he was a mere pup.
The Lazys – Nothing But Trouble
the problem with live…is thats everythings thats actually live…has fucking shite sound quality when recorded
but everything that looks live and sounds good has been edited to sound awesome
and as such…is no longer…really live…is it?
I’ve been to enough live shows that sound absolutely awesome to know that it’s possible.
I think the hearing of a lot of people in the business is shot, and they really can’t tell what’s going on with the mix and volume anymore.

I also enjoy a good public street performance of sea shanties, who doesn’t? I think I may have posted this previously:
