i forgot to say happy saturday all of yous
so you know…..hereby
I still go for disco.
you go for nice disco too!
…heard some great dubstep mashups…but never really in a context that would let me know how to look those up…so…gotta go with the obvious one…at least from where I generally sit?
…should be the whole album as a playlist…on account of how that was sort of the point of the exercise?
i wouldnt even know that one was a mash up
rap/hiphop use samples in ways that blow me away
…take a white album (beatles)…add a black album (jay-z)…give it a little dangermouse…& hey presto…you got yourself a grey album
…but also, yes…a lot of hip hop has its sample game on point…mind you…the jungle tune that sampled “it…it was the jungle…it just came alive & took him” from predator remains a solid contender for one of the best…if not quite the same sort of sample?
honestly….knowing where the samples came from makes it more impressive
takes a special kind of mind to put that shit together
Ethel Merman went for disco too!
theres no business like show business
never heard it in disco before…nice
and you know i grew up with a theres no business like snow business dad
dude could have been a canadian….but he wasnt
First year of college, a good friend of mine came out but he was too shy to go to a gay bar by himself so he asked me to take him. Until then, I didn’t know a single out gay person. We went to Dugan’s Bistro in Chicago and this song was playing. I can remember thinking, “I’m not gay, but these are my definitely my kind of people.”
Disco Metal by the Italian parody rockers Nanowar Of Steel

Not sure of the real composer of this mashup. I remembered it as Kruder & Dorfmeister, but I see no credit to them here (this is the oldest instance I could find):
Anyway, mashup.
thats exactly the kind of mash up i was hoping to find in the replies
its so right…but somehow so wrong too
i love it
holy shit…that one went places
never thought id hear a song where i think freddy mercury should have been left out
everyone else fits….freddy is oddly jarring
