  1. Sutton Foster is a force of nature. The Patti LuPone for a new generation. And if I were Sutton Foster I wouldn’t want to be in the same city as Patti LuPone, because you know Pats takes no prisoners.

    However, we owe her eternal gratitude for this:

    which was smart and funny and not the earnest cringefest that was “Fight Song,” although I enjoyed seeing Alan Cumming and his hound buried in there somewhere.

    But to be clear, “Fight Song” didn’t hold a candle to Gal Godot’s celeb-studded a capella rendition of “Imagine.”

    Horrible, horrible and dark episode in our nation’s history. May it never be repeated.
