Spotify has been hitting home runs for me with their Monday Discover Weekly Mixtape. Here is a slow jam by Chartreuse, Three Days:
And a semi-slow jam, Just Love, by Chinatown Slalom:

Not a slow jam, but a Slow Ride by Foghat.
@Butcherbakertoiletrymaker that song is a classic.
Paul Smith – The Beauty Contest
@KeitelBlacksmith, that is good stuff.
slow jam….ummm…yeah….i might be a little over caffeinated for that
best i can manage sorry 🙂
@Farscythe you can always post whatever moves you! No worries, have at it!
Back in the day, there were few slow-jam artists as consistent as Babyface. Mrs Luigi and I like to do a little Sunday night deep-dish Chicago-style stepping to this one. Takes me back to jamming WGCI-FM Quiet Storm while flying down Lake Shore Drive.
In case you don’t know what Chicago-style stepping looks like, here is a sample. I learned how to do it from a co-worker at the University of Chicago many years ago. She was superfine but wouldn’t date an Italian because she said her South Side family would never accept me.
@LuigiVuoto, you and Mrs. V. have mad skills to dance that way!
This reminds me a lot of The Shag:
Very similar. I’ve shagged at the seashore, but I’ve got to be honest, there’s a lot more involved in stepping. More sliding and back-stepping across the midline axis.
Hey, I too have shagged by the seashore! Wait, never mind, carry on….

I’m not a big fan of the “Slow Jam” genre if that is a thing but this song often gets stuck in my head when I am depressed for some reason…
Reminds me of this one:
Sean Na Na, “Funeral Party”
Oops, the title is actually “The Princess and the Pony”
@Meh-Zuzah, this is a new band to me, thank you.
@Loveshaq I hope that it isn’t stuck there now!
Soko – We Might Be Dead By Tomorrow
@Hannibal, very nice!
I could sort of call this a slow jam.
Enon, “Rubber Car”
@Meh-zuzah
Great pick. Love this band
@KeitelBlacksmith Ooh, good one. I love the entire High Society album.
It’s slow, and it’s a jam:
@LemmyKilmister I like that!
Who else?
@blue dogcollar, you betcha!
