  1. Speaking of our dear Cousin Matthew, he is in the hospital and has no internet, per say. He sent me an email today saying “Going under the knife very soon. I will write you a long, long email about all of it. Say hello to all my buddies for me. ” Leg surgery I believe. But the best part was the subject line – this is a cut/paste – RE: TODAY IS THE DAY THAT DEADSPLINTER LOADS UP ON FOOD-RELATED POSTS?!?! Please join me in wishing him all the best, and a quick and painless recovery!

  2. My favorite parody artist of the last four years. All of the songs he’s done (and there are dozens) are parodies of Broadway tunes, so if you don’t know much about musicals, you’ll be lost. I do, and I still had to look some up. But Randy is a really good singer — he started touring before the pandemic.

    • I sort of fretted about what he would do once Biden was inaugurated, but who am I kidding? Of course there’s still loads of political train wreck material for Randy Rainbow to write parodies for at least the next decade.

  3. …not exactly a specific song parody so much as an impressive send up of a pretty broad sweep…but are you familiar with the axis of awesome?

    …or maybe this one?

  4. Something from New Zealand’s fourth most popular folk parody duo:
    Flight of the Conchords, “Jenny”

    Twofer Tuesday:
Flight of the Conchords, “Business Time”
