    • I’m sorry to hear this.

  2. Oh, man, this is right up my alley.  So many to choose from it’s hard to narrow down, but let’s go with these:
Led Zeppelin – What is and What Should Never Be

CCR – It Came Out of the Sky

Blind Faith – Can’t Find My Way Home

This one is for Lemmy.  Black Sabbath – Black Sabbath

This one is for all of us.  Simon and Garfunkel – America

    • That Blind Faith song is a favorite of mine.

  3. This is a fun and easy DUAN! I can’t count the number of times I listened to Nuggets, the great psychedelic 60’s compilation LP.

The Seeds – Pushin’ Too Hard

13th Floor Elevators – You’re Gonna Miss Me

  4. and some of my 60’s favorite though…

    Doors

  6. The Zombies – She’s Not There

The Byrds – Eight Miles High

The Rolling Stones – Paint It Black

    • Like the Byrds too…

  7. i guess ill go with the holy modal rounders

but i guess it would be rude to not at least mention sam the sham?

  8. I hope protestors blast this if Trump tries to pull that January 20th 21-gun salute sendoff:

    • this is one of those wierd songs..where it doesnt matter who sings it…coz what i hear is the rendition from armageddon…
kinda like the time i found a neo nazi version of hey jude (guess what it was called) i am never going to be able to listen to that song again and not hear it….

    • Love The Kinks, and even love it when they get covered.

    • I never realized that the former Governor of Wisconsin had a singing background. He should have stuck to that.

  9. The 1960s:
    How it started…

    How it ended…

    • Luigi nailed it, yes he did.

  10. Hey, has anyone been in touch with @jonee lately? Hasn’t posted in a few months, and when he did, sounded like he was going through a tough time….

    • I believe attempts have been made to get in touch to no avail.

      We all miss him.

  11. I used to send this to someone before I ever paid any attention to the lyrics…

but I have to go with It’s Over by Roy Orbison so the sore losers have something to listen to while they drink their Southern Comfort and meth drinks:

  12. …can’t think why I thought of this

    …maybe there’s a departure on my mind?

    • Damn right you did.

  13. Gladys Knight and the Pips with the first hit version of this song

  14.

  15. Not from the Sixties, but of the Sixties, if you will:
Stereo Total, “ex fan des sixties”
