Did I ever tell you all that in the wake of September 11th the Times, which was wall-to-wall 9/11 coverage and they did a heroic job back when they were a serious newspaper, ran an article about music that was pretty much banned from public radio stations for the duration? It was actually very funny in a grim way, I thought. “Leaving on a Jet Plane” was one of them (“don’t know when I’ll be back again…”)
