What’s on everyone’s vacation playlist? Do you go to the beach? Lake? Mountains?

We mostly go to the lake – one of the fam is a huge Dave Matthews fan so there’s a lot of Ol Dave on the playlist.

  2. I like going to the beach in the winter and spring, don’t do much of anything in the summer. I’ve been listening to the new Sigur Ros. It’s perfect for evenings on the patio while sipping a cool drink, and listening to the neighborhood children playing.

  4. I’m going nowhere this summer but BH is traveling quite a bit for work. Even when he’s here, he has many occasions to go back to our old neighborhood, downtown. He’s like his company’s unofficial NYC ambassador, when clients come to town. He just brought this up, 15 minutes ago. To celebrate and cheer him up I play this:

    “Pet,” as she is known, is still alive and is 90! I knew this song came out in the 1960s but so did we and I’m very bad at math, so this came as a surprise to me.

    • Also, thinking about it, I wonder what “Downtown” Pet is singing about. London doesn’t have one. No English city does, I don’t think. They have city centers centres, and London has “The City,” and “The West End,” and Westminster, but I think if you said to an English person “I stayed in ‘downtown London'” they would have no idea what you were talking about.
