Let’s take a trip together, DeadSplinterites! Or explore someplace new, or just go wild. @Lymond paid homage to the infrastructure on Wednesday, so now let’s talk travel. I am oddly entranced with this song, Voyage, by Rivière Monk:
Thank you for playing and thank you for your support of DeadSplinter and DUAN.
Wet Nurse – Bon Voyage
Led Zeppelin – Traveling Riverside Blues
David Bowie – Fantastic Voyage
Don’t even have to walk, don’t even have to drive,
Just slide, glide, slippity-slide
Just forget about your troubles and your 9 to 5
Dammit, I was going to use that. Oh well. Welcome to Miami and while there vamos a la playa.
And FWIW if Will Smith had to be in an open marriage why didn’t he open it to include–never mind.
There are two playas!
This last one is a resubmission that I posted already at some point. As an example of 80s Europop it’s hard to beat. I owned the cassingle!
I know it’s a cliche, but this song has always made me want to see the Orinoco River.

no one went with voyage voyage yet?
really?
This is not exactly a song but since I just posted a “Notes” that’s basically a promo for visiting New York:
For some reason this ad was in the news fairly recently. I think it was about how Broadway can help bring New York out of the pandemic doldrums. It mentioned that Frank Sinatra agreed to do it but refused to do any rehearsing and I think demanded he’d say something quick that he wrote himself. The tourism board agreed. Frank hopped out of his car, did this, hopped right back in and people on the set were flabbergasted that it was so perfect that they were actually able to use it.
nice !
here have one promoting visiting japan
*bounces out of the room*
