Patience is a virtue, they tell us. But waiting is often excruciating, unless you’ve got some tunes to distract you while you wait.
Thanks for your patience and for supporting DUAN, Deadsplinter.

Kevin Gilbert – Waiting
Listen to this under a good pair of headphones.
The Kinks – Tired Of Waiting For You
They’re not the same song, but I’m still going to aver that Matt Sharp > Rivers Cuomo. Any day.
The Rentals, “Waiting”
This was my anthem for the shaky week following Election Day 2020.
Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, “The Waiting”
I Don’t Want to Wait!
I should have posted this the other night for “Moody”, nobody paints a mood like Dean & Britta…
Last one…
Don’t Make Me Wait Bill Withers:

Waited Our Lady Peace (love the drums in this):
Dog Day – Sleeping, Waiting
The Replacements – Can’t Hardly Wait
The Videls, out of Mount Pleasant High School in Mt Pleasant, Rhode Island, were Norman Marzano, Petey Andreoli, Vincent Poncia, Bobby Calitri, and Herb Rickey. They performed mainly at high school dances and proms, and occasional CYO sock hops, but broke into the night club scene long before they were old enough to drink legally. Their first record contract was with local label Rhody Records, which was run by the mobbed up building contractor Joe Criscioni.
Sometimes one needs patience… to deal with delays, to not yell, etc.
Sometimes you need to run like hell and shove people out of your way.
I thought someone else would post this.
Velvet Underground – I’m Waiting For The Man
I’m tired of waiting for one of you to post Killing Joke’s The Wait, so I’m just gonna go ahead and do it myself. I guess I have to do everything around here.

Different kind of waiting…
The Waitresses
The Avener and The Be Good Tanya’s, Waitin’ Round to Die:
The Kills — “Wait”
(And at the moment, I’m waiting for 70 minutes to pass so that I can get off fucking work and start my fucking weekend.)
I really like The Kills, and I’ve been lucky enough to see them live a few times, pretty decent show. Mosshart pretty much convulses around the stage the entire performance.
Yeah, I saw her about 10 years ago with The Dead Weather (with a ticket I’d bought well ahead of time, before the venue decided to play up the Jack White connection so that they could sell out the place), and she’s certainly quite the powerhouse as a performer. I could’ve seen The Kills a few years ago, but they were playing a festival here – and I just didn’t feel like paying the cost and dealing with almost everything else that a festival entails just to see them.
PJ Harvey, Wait:
also PJ Harvey, Hardly Wait:
I really like PJ Harvey
