  1. The Victorian English Gentlemens Club – As Jungle Drums Rang Across The Amazon (We Held Our Heads And Screamed)

    • I’ve loved this song since the first time that I heard it!

      • You ever get a song stuck in your head? Like maybe one that you don’t like too much? Years ago I developed a strategy. Whenever that happens, I replace that song with this one.

  2. Joe Cocker performs “The Letter” with a pretty awesome supporting cast.
Leon Russell on keyboards, a young Rita Coolidge as one of the backup singers, and the great Bobby Keys on the sax!

    • That’s awesome. I wish the sound was a little better. The bane of live footage for me.

      • I agree, Jonee. It’s tough to find 60’s and 70’s live performances that have really great sound and video quality. But as we’ve discussed before, much of the enjoyment of music for me is watching the artists perform. And btw, once in a while I see that you come over to the dark side and post a live performance:/

        • Only when the sound is high fidelity. 😉

  3. Sleater-Kinney — Don’t Think You Wanna
I’m seeing them tomorrow night and even though Janet Weiss left, I’m still looking forward to it.

    • Have a great time, Boop, and please report back!

    • love the new album! when you’ve been doing it as long as they have, a change in sound/direction is probably necessary to keep moving.
      have a blast!
