i do enjoy watching the winter sports tho…they are for the most part more entertaining to watch than the summer sports
but what do i know…ive never even been skiing
its a little difficult to find a good ski slope in this country you know…thats probably why we all ice skate instead…

i do enjoy the curling…strangely entertaining to watch… and both those songs are pretty soothing…tho apparently..not as soothing as putting my feet up waiting for the post to go up….and waking up ten hours later…

…it’s…sort of surreal, isn’t it…like…it shouldn’t be possible for a good kip & a severe case of jet lag to both leave you feeling a confusingly similar way about how everything seems to be reporting back that you’re out of all available sorts of sync & probably what you need to do is go to sleep in the oldest known form of “have you tried turning it off & then turning it on again?”
…& yet…it…sort of does turn out to be hard to tell those two apart?
In Hawaii winter sports means giant wave surfing!
and here’s some of my bodyboarding buddies from back in the day…
big wave surfing is a thing id really like to try….but not on a monster like in the first video… reasonably sure thats a death sentence for a novice surfer…the waves in the 2nd one look more manageable..if i had a long enough holiday to learn…
obviously..the north sea isnt a great place to learn…doesnt really do big waves…and tries to drown you most of the time… i swear the beaches here have more red flag days than not

running on ice would make a pretty good spectator sport…i dont recommend actually doing it tho….tends to end poorly

only a few hockey clubs over here..as our winters cant be counted upon to provide enough ice for outdoor venues every year…and weve only got a few indoor ones…shame that
also i knew the curling song would turn up somewhere :p
