Deadsplinter Up! All Night: Wrap-Up

May You All Have a Peaceful New Year

I’m not really crazy about the week between Christmas and New Year’s. I’ve described it as the “holiday taint” because it taint Xmas and it taint New Year’s and it taint good for nothing. Everything is in this holding pattern waiting to see what’s gonna happen in 2023 and people are still hungover from too much holly jolly bullshit.

One thing that always rankles me is all the “Year in Review” garbage that the media uses to fill time during the weird emptiness of this week. So, in honor of this tradition (and because I’ve got nothing else) I’m asking for you to share the new (or old) music that made 2022 special for you. I’m not trying to list any of my favorite music of the year or anything, just new stuff that caught my attention, however briefly.

And of course, my gratitude to you all for participating in DUAN and supporting Deadsplinter. Now let’s hear it.

  1. I listened to a lot of quiet and reflective music. I don’t know if it’s my age or just the kind of year it was.
Kevin Morby – title track from This Is a Photograph
