DeadSplinter Up! All Night: You Only Like Me When I’m Sad

New music Saturday! illumanti hotties is an indie pop band from Los Angeles and the songwriting project of recording engineer Sarah Tzudin. The band released their debut album Kiss Yr Frenemies in 2018 on Tiny Engines. Their latest album Free I.H: This Is Not the One You’ve Been Waiting For. “leaked”on July 3rd under the name Occult Classic with friends Lucy Dacus, Pup and Speedy Ortiz and is a reference to Lil Wayne’s Free Weezy Album.

Sarah Tuzdin has worked with The Kills, Porches, Black Lips, Slowdive, and Weyes Blood. Tuzdin describes her music as “tenderpunk” a bold and perky DIY sound. Thank you for your continued support of DeadSplinter.

  1. Not new but a reissue. I liked them in the ’90’s and they still sound good today.

      • Are you familiar with Buck? He died before he got big so not too many people know who he was. He was a client of a client of mine (now also gone) and I remember talking to my client the day after he was killed. He’d just come from telling Buck’s wife and baby son. Everyone was a wreck. 

        • No, but I really like this song, it’s obvious he had talent. It’s got that Country cleverness without the cliche. It flips the typical hard drinking, womanizing Country dude on its head. But it’s not misogynistic. And it avoids being smarmy. That’s a lot for one song. It sucks that he lost his life so young, and so senselessly.
