So, I thought it was Morse code but all I got was:
ND ATRD
NANK FTR CTTINN ARTUND
Which, you know, doesn’t mean anything. Ellie needs to make sure you’re not having a stroke.
My favorite cousin got me a bracelet for Christmas that is a mix of tube spacer beads and small round beads. In Morse Code it spells out “no fucks given”
And you can all see why they are my favorite cousin!
…I really ought to try & memorise that sucker because if I’m ever marooned on a desert island it’d be real useful to make sure the rescue party knows to include some specific items I’d find restorative
…the bit on the end confused the hell out of me that christmas…turns out there’s morse for punctuation…who knew?
@Brightersideoflife, I got my son’s girlfriend a similar bracelet but it just says “fuck you”, I thought she could use it as she navigates the public school frustrations trying to get resources for her autistic son. It is her favorite bracelet as well.
…so I struck out trying to find a link to the instrumental I went looking for (…off an album called it’s not who you know, it’s whom you know…which I’m pretty sure I mentioned at some point previously)
& I don’t know if this link will work because I don’t generally try to get spotify involved…but I guess I’ll find out?
During the Second World War, the Allies made use of the way the Morse Code for V was “dot dot dot dash” corresponded to the first notes of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. They would often play the opening to symbolize V for Victory on broadcasts into Nazi occupied Europe.
Clever, clever. Songs without words.

@ButcherBakerToiletryMaker, maybe? I will go check… he claims it was spacing and will edit. User error?
No stroke. Copy/paste did not work out well.

…I’m gonna have to think about an instrumental since I lean pretty heavily towards the lyrics being a lot of why I like the stuff I like
…but in a similar morse code gift vein one of my siblings got me a t-shirt one christmas with my own personal distress signal in morse

…well, the link seems to have worked…sort of…seems like you have to play it on spotify to get the whole thing, though?
…& I know for a fact the herbie hancock number manchu picked would go down well with several members of the above band?
See what I did there?
REM – What’s the Frequency Kenneth?
Missing Persons. This song seems to have been everywhere are one point but now it’s nowhere to be found. This is as close as I could get.

I think this version would have cheered up the inhabitants of Nazi-occupied Europe even more.
Two wordless wonders from the Rushmore OST.
